Precision tubes
Precision tubes are mainly used in waveguides, boilers, heat exchangers, and military industries, marine, musical instruments, aerospace, automotive industries, medical technology. Precision tubes are produced using a number of cold drawing processes. Therefore, precision tubes inspection is especially important for tubes manufactures to meet the quality requirement. EddyWise has produced solutions to inspect precision tubes using eddy current method.
EddyLine testing system family with Encircling coils can detect point and transverse defects in the precision tubes. EddyLine I is suitable for NFE tubes and EddyLine II is used for both FE and NFE tubes. It is considered that using magnetizing and demagnetizing unit are primitive for precision FE tubes inspection because precision FE tubes must be magnetized using Magnetizing Unit prior to eddy current testing to remove noise of permeability and demagnetized using Demagnetizing Unit afterward to eliminate any residue.
It is also considered that the precision tubes to be checked for hardness and material identification checking, EddyLine II also has a channel (optional) to perform material identification and hardness measurement.
We also have produced EddyRoto to detect longitudinal defects in the precision tubes. This system can rotate over a precision tube by helical move. The sensor within the rotary system cannot make any contact with precision tubes. In this solution, EddyRoto works with EddyLine II-R.
